YEAH - we had to add one screaming pictureAspen has given us so much joy over the past year. We honestly cannot remember enjoying life without her. It is funny how such a huge responsibility can bring such fulfillment. There are many verses in the Bible that refer to children being a gift and those who have many are blessed. I always thought that being married to Guy was just the greatest thing ever. I never could understand why adding to what we had could make our lives better. I actually thought children would just get in the way of us. WOW - was I wrong!! My goodness...GOD IS RIGHT and I am wrong. Children are a blessing and those with children know that you see God better through your children. THANK YOU GOD for giving us Aspen!

OH MY GOODNESS!!!! I can't believe that Aspen is ONE!!!!! I never believed my mom when she said we grew up so fast, until we had Ethan!! It is so true! Happy birthday sweet Aspen!!
Our babies are One and before we know it we will be standing together in the AIM room watching them sign up to start there adventure...lol
i really wish i could be there for her birthday...im so sad i have to be a whole state away...but no worries, i will be back soon. i cant wait to see her. no worries i will spoil her for christmas :)hope she had an amazing 1st birthday and hope her birthday party goes well...cant wait to see pictures!

Wow, I miss that sweet little girl. I have been meaning to look at your site and wish her a happy birthday, but I've been away from the computer for a few days.
So, Happy Birthday sweet Aspen! Your Aunt Katie misses you a bunch and can't wait to see you! Your picture hangs on our refrigerator and I look at it several times a day. You are loved by people all over the world!

I liked the pictures down memory lane. How true you are about celebrating a Christmas with lots of sleep and not so much nursing worries! Our kids will actually participate in the holiday this year. Oh, our kids are growing up so fast! And, like Katie said...I remember you telling us on the phone and then going out to Chili's to eat. You were in shock. And that is when we told you we were pregnant too. Ahh, the memories!!
PS. I have her b'day gift. I had to return and exchange part of it and I have been dragging my feet about getting it in the mail. It will be there someday!
Hey Nan!! Oh my goodness boy is it good to hear how God is blessing your lives. Aspen is so big! It seems like forever ago when she was born, but not really.
